Low Voltage Installer (1099 Contract)

Overview
We are looking for experienced Network Installers / Low-Voltage Technicians to work on an as-needed, contractor basis. This role is ideal for independent technicians who are comfortable working in commercial environments and can operate with minimal supervision.
Projects may include office buildings, event venues, warehouses, and other commercial spaces.
Responsibilities

Install, terminate, and test Ethernet (Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A) cabling

Mount and install network equipment (switches, access points, patch panels, racks)

Perform cable management and labeling to industry standards

Assist with WiFi access point placement and installation

Troubleshoot basic connectivity and cabling issues

Follow site safety rules and maintain a clean work area

Communicate clearly with project leads and clients on-site
Requirements
-
Proven experience as a network installer or low-voltage technician

Must be able to work as a 1099 independent contractor

Must have all required tools, including (but not limited to):
-
Punch-down tools
-
Cable testers
-
Crimpers
-
Toner/tracer
-
Ladders (where applicable)

Must have reliable transportation to job sites

Ability to read basic network diagrams and floor plans

Comfortable working on ladders and lifts (certifications a plus)

Professional appearance and customer-facing communication skills
Preferred (Nice to Have)

BICSI, CompTIA Network+, or similar certifications

Experience with wireless access point installs (Ubiquiti, Meraki, Aruba, etc.)

Lift certifications (scissor lift, boom lift)

Experience in event, hospitality, or large-venue environments
